When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

If Igor Lebas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. KaoS Futbol Club made a substitution. Andres Baresi replaced León Ponzio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Lebas in the 69th minute of play forced Persepolis F.C.'s goalkeeper Santos Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trevor Sandoval tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Santos Perez.
