The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of FC Brzesko City booed when Lokomotiv Plovdiv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordi Alba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Krum Nikolchov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbyszko Kajder, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After some careless play in the Lokomotiv Plovdiv defense, Zbyszko Kajder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krum Nikolchov. The Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krum Nikolchov should have stopped the shot. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zbyszko Kajder in the 27th minute of play. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Kajder in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Facundo Nazario to strike the kick off in the second half. Kuzey Kırgız charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kuzey Kırgız the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes FC Brzesko City got a freekick which was hit by Kuzey Kırgız. Tanek Wojtyna came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Facundo Nazario. But to his dismay, Facundo Nazario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. In the 78th minute Zdzislaw Obuchowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jordi Alba during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
