After some careless play in the Lokomotiv Plovdiv defense, Marcel da Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Krum Nikolchov. The Lokomotiv Plovdiv fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krum Nikolchov should have stopped the shot. Marcel da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krum Nikolchov having to interfere. Krum Nikolchov came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha. But to his dismay, Marcel da Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When Red Devils's Marcel da Rocha in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lokomotiv Plovdiv's goalie prevented a goal. Krum Nikolchov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Brask in the 24th minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Braulio Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lokomotiv Plovdiv were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Red Devils's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hélder Lago took the corner. The corner led Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Hélder Lago to fire away a dangerous shot which Braulio Gartxot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mirolyub Dragoychev got free with Braulio Gartxot in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel da Rocha in the 33rd minute of play. When Slawomir Trzaskoma fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Devils's protests and gave Slawomir Trzaskoma a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Red Devils getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Slawomir Trzaskoma hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes Lokomotiv Plovdiv got a freekick which was hit by Zdzislaw Obuchowicz. Krum Nikolchov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A throw-in in the 45th minute of the game was made by Zhang Jing Lin with Antoni Tokludzhanov as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Braulio Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven Brask, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Red Devils were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcel da Rocha to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven Brask in the 52nd minute of play forced Red Devils's goalkeeper Braulio Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel da Rocha in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krum Nikolchov saved Lokomotiv Plovdiv from getting behind. Krum Nikolchov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel da Rocha in the 62nd minute of the match. Yulian Florov hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. A collision led to Lokomotiv Plovdiv getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Yulian Florov hit a great ball. Marcel da Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krum Nikolchov. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcel da Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's Krum Nikolchov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel da Rocha in the 66th minute of play. Braulio Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Nazario in the 68th minute of the match. Marcel da Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Krum Nikolchov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 73 played minutes Red Devils got a freekick which was hit by Radoslaw Solibieda. Red Devils made a substitution. Kazimierz Deyna replaced Radoslaw Solibieda. In the 74th match minute, Red Devils was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radoslaw Solibieda to maneuver through the defense. Braulio Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Nazario in the 78th minute of the match. Krum Nikolchov made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Marcel da Rocha sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the game, Jordi Alba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lokomotiv Plovdiv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Red Devils the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel da Rocha got free with Krum Nikolchov in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Jordi Alba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 91 minutes into the game, Jordi Alba threw the ball into play from the sideline. Red Devils's Kazimierz Deyna quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 93 minutes into the game, Zdzislaw Obuchowicz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Braulio Gartxot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Red Devils had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
