After 21 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Wilian Antunes. In the 24th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Vidal to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Renato Souza in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marquinhos Diniz saved Jovens Democratas MZC from getting behind. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Paulo Renato Souza sped through Jovens Democratas MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marquinhos Diniz. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson de Carvalho made a kick off. Jovens Democratas MZC's Marquinhos Diniz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilson Vidal in the 52nd minute of play. Marquinhos Diniz made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Jailson de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Wilson Vidal made a precise shot to the right of Marquinhos Diniz. Jovens Democratas MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Marquinhos Diniz had great luck who in the 58thth minute grab hold of the ball when Jailson de Carvalho from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Zé Carlos Cordeiro was substituted for Anselmo Batista. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Dalmo Rocha replaced Telmo Barbosa. After 61 played minutes Jovens Democratas MZC got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Sousa.
