After 7 played minutes AFC United got a freekick which was hit by Honorato Zubillaga. The supporters of AFC United booed when CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Victor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donato Covillas kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Walmyr Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Torrens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lalo Buenaga charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lalo Buenaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to AFC United getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Lalo Buenaga hit a great ball. Honorato Zubillaga's late challenge caught a CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Zubillaga helped the player get up and apologised. CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s Genílson Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ from getting a goal against them. After 23 played minutes CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ got a freekick which was hit by John Victor. After 27 played minutes CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ got a freekick which was hit by Nico Moreira. Genílson Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lalo Buenaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Genílson Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lalo Buenaga in the 38th minute of play. Genílson Gaspar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Covillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Genílson Gaspar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lalo Buenaga went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lalo Buenaga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Genílson Gaspar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lalo Buenaga in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute Lalo Buenaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Genílson Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Covillas in the 61st minute of play forced CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s goalkeeper Genílson Gaspar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to CANIL VON ZAATARI™️ getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ulisses Valadares hit a great ball. When Hernani Prata fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CANIL VON ZAATARI™️'s protests and gave Hernani Prata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for AFC United. Castel Mulas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Genílson Gaspar. 2-0. If Lisandro Barrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulisses Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match.
