The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Santos Metcalf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Racing Miami Futbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ...Pingue S.C.... the free kick. A collision led to Racing Miami Futbol Club getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Santos Metcalf hit a great ball. ...Pingue S.C....'s Mati Gavilanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mohammed Lloyd in the 5th minute of play. Elkin Corel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mati Gavilanes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohammed Lloyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of Racing Miami Futbol Club booed when ...Pingue S.C.... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysidro Guadiana didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute, Mohammed Lloyd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohammed Lloyd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Dillon McDonough proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Abe Hoyt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Racing Miami Futbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Abe Hoyt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mati Gavilanes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Mohammed Lloyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mati Gavilanes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Xever Yanes fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ...Pingue S.C....'s protests and gave Xever Yanes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Xever Yanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilson Urreta kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Jeffrey Chen replaced Geoff Coronado. When Alfonzo Wolfe came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Racing Miami Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonzo Wolfe couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Abe Hoyt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mohammed Lloyd in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mati Gavilanes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Racing Miami Futbol Club booed when ...Pingue S.C.... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Nicolas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, ...Pingue S.C....'s Mati Gavilanes got control of the ball when Mohammed Lloyd tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to ...Pingue S.C.... getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Vilson Urreta hit a great ball. ...Pingue S.C....'s Robin Oces was substituted for Ysidro Guadiana. In the 84th match minute, ...Pingue S.C.... was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Oces to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, ...Pingue S.C....'s Vilson Urreta got a free kick in the 88th minute. Jose-Antonio Rescuro took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dillon McDonough. Dillon McDonough dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Dillon McDonough came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by ...Pingue S.C....'s Robin Oces. But to his dismay, Robin Oces quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Racing Miami Futbol Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
