Elpidio Francis might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristian Vladimirescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elpidio Francis ran back to his position shaking his head. Riesgo Cero's Cristian Vladimirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 14th minute of play. After 16 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Iztal. Abelardo Vitin kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Cristian Vladimirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petrică Măcriș, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Cristian Vladimirescu came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis. But to his dismay, Elpidio Francis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Elpidio Francis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristian Vladimirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Lech Biskupiak tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute, Elpidio Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Elpidio Francis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Vladimirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Gabon in the 44th minute of play forced Riesgo Cero's goalkeeper Cristian Vladimirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Vladimirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Branislav Velchevski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 78 played minutes Riesgo Cero got a freekick which was hit by Santo Damario. 83 minutes into the match, Amadeo Firman notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski. Branislav Velchevski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Riesgo Cero's Cristian Vladimirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Monclús in the 90th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
