The supporters of Százhalombattai VUK SE booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dániel Szabadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dániel Szabadi's late challenge caught a Százhalombattai VUK SE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Arnold Szuper was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnold Szuper came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Százhalombattai VUK SE's Egon Sinka. But to his dismay, Egon Sinka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Balázs Pálinkás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Balázs Pálinkás was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balázs Pálinkás in the 53rd minute of play forced Százhalombattai VUK SE's goalkeeper György Solti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. János Major hit a great ball. Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Szombathely Squirrels from getting a goal against them. In the 85th minute, Szilárd Csikós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Egon Sinka fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Százhalombattai VUK SE's protests and gave Egon Sinka a yellow card for diving instead. The Százhalombattai VUK SE supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Százhalombattai VUK SE would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
