Márton Gombos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Varga in the 9th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Sporting Savaria's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Varga came free, but Márton Gombos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Roland Varga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márton Gombos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Berart struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Ottó Szántó didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Savaria. Gusztáv Balla hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Márton Gombos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Varga, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kálmán Mbappè in the 33rd minute of play forced Szolnoki MÁV's goalkeeper Ottó Szántó to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roland Varga to make the kick off. If Roland Varga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Heiki Uustal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Savaria's supporters rose to their feet, but Heiki Uustal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ottó Szántó breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leif Kwieciński kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gedeon Csákvári in the 62nd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gusztáv Balla during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Szolnoki MÁV getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Gusztáv Balla hit a great ball. Bálint Simon hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes of play, Sporting Savaria's Robustiano Berart made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ottó Szántó was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ottó Szántó made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lajos Laczkó in the 72nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Szolnoki MÁV's Márton Gombos threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Roland Varga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 94th minute, Mustafa Orhan Gezer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Szolnoki MÁV's Roland Varga got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sporting Savaria had played much better football throughout.
