Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Savaria from getting a goal against them. Márton Gombos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roland Varga's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Mátyás Lisztes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lajos Laczkó, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute of the match Sporting Savaria got a corner. Szolnoki MÁV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Márton Gombos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roland Varga in the 32nd minute of the match. Roland Varga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Márton Gombos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Márton Gombos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Roland Varga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Márton Gombos having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kálmán Mbappè was the one to do the kick off. Márton Gombos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emesto Muñagorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Szolnoki MÁV's Mátyás Lisztes got control of the ball when Kálmán Mbappè tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Roland Varga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 61 played minutes Szolnoki MÁV got a freekick which was hit by Lajos Keresztesi. 63 minutes into the match, Sporting Savaria's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Varga came free, but Márton Gombos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Roland Varga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márton Gombos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Márton Gombos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Emesto Muñagorri sped through Sporting Savaria's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Márton Gombos. In the 92ndth minute of the game Roland Varga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Savaria's Márton Gombos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
