The supporters of Szentgotthárd booed when Újlõrincfalva LC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boldizsár Szabados didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute Pancho Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illés Kiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, József Sallói made a precise shot to the right of Illés Kiss. Újlõrincfalva LC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by József Sallói in the 15th minute of play forced Újlõrincfalva LC's goalkeeper Illés Kiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Szentgotthárd's Kornél Hajdú proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Szentgotthárd from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábián Müller in the 20th minute of play forced Szentgotthárd's goalkeeper Kornél Hajdú to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Illés Kiss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from József Sallói in the 23rd minute of the match. Illés Kiss came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Szentgotthárd's József Sallói. But to his dismay, József Sallói quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 26th minute Lajos Sárközi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kornél Hajdú saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Károly Selymes in the 29th minute of play forced Újlõrincfalva LC's goalkeeper Illés Kiss to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Konstanty Dzierwa in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Illés Kiss saved Újlõrincfalva LC from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Konstanty Dzierwa made a precise shot to the right of Illés Kiss. Újlõrincfalva LC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dénes Kenesei in the 38th minute of play forced Szentgotthárd's goalkeeper Kornél Hajdú to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adorján Angyal hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. József Sallói sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Szentgotthárd were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when József Sallói made the kick off in the second half. Konstanty Dzierwa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Illés Kiss skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Újlõrincfalva LC defense, József Sallói kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Illés Kiss. The Újlõrincfalva LC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Illés Kiss should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute Pancho Puskás shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illés Kiss saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Illés Kiss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from József Sallói in the 61st minute of play. After 66 minutes of play, Szentgotthárd's József Sallói made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Illés Kiss was left in no man's land by his defense there! Szentgotthárd's Zakariás Tótfalusi was substituted for Pancho Puskás. Dénes Kenesei hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Kornél Hajdú showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boldizsár Szabados, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Újlõrincfalva LC's Illés Kiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Sallói in the 80th minute of play. Kornél Hajdú took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boldizsár Szabados, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kornél Hajdú made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dénes Kenesei in the 86th minute of play. Újlõrincfalva LC's Illés Kiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Károly Selymes in the 89th minute of play. Zakariás Tótfalusi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Illés Kiss made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Újlõrincfalva LC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! The Újlõrincfalva LC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Szentgotthárd were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
