After a rather tough play, CDU Católica's Leandro Marsal got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Caetano Levandowsky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Caetano Levandowsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Salamón Del Fierro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Barcelona de América's Bradford Scalzo in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CDU Católica's goalie prevented a goal. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Levandowsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Barcelona de América's Tenorio Reiriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona de América from getting a goal against them. Caetano Levandowsky's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salamón Del Fierro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. With a little luck, Barcelona de América's Tenorio Reiriz got control of the ball when Cristóbal Lataste tried to sneak it across the goal line. CDU Católica's Salamón Del Fierro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Félix Torres in the 38th minute of play. Caetano Levandowsky might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salamón Del Fierro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Levandowsky ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute Caetano Levandowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Del Fierro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salamón Del Fierro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Levandowsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Justino Mario hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute, Zayvion Ispuzua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After recieving a nice pass, Barcelona de América's Perlaza Lena tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute Cristóbal Lataste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tenorio Reiriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute Perlaza Lena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salamón Del Fierro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salamón Del Fierro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zayvion Ispuzua, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Tenorio Reiriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristóbal Lataste in the 66th minute of the match. Félix Torres hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Barcelona de América's Ronaldinho Gentenaar was substituted for Perlaza Lena. The supporters of Barcelona de América booed when CDU Católica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Espínola didn't get a good kick on the ball.
