Hilario Pesquera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Máximo Kirchner in the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes in the game Josef Krumbacher did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Máximo Kirchner. Dario Betzanos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

After taking down the ball on Unidad de Matanza's corner Waldemar Okopny fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hilario Pesquera quite easily take care of the ball. Dave Skinner tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Hilario Pesquera. An unnecessary self made goal, 4-0 in the 90th minute. Nestor Bâru took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Pesquera. Hilario Pesquera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Unidad de Matanza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
