The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Ruquense FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Saturnino Romo took the corner. In the 7th minute Basilio Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliverio Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Ciemiega in the 10th minute of play. François-Xavier Dionnet had great luck who in the 12thth minute grab hold of the ball when Saturnino Romo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saturnino Romo in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck François-Xavier Dionnet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saturnino Romo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without François-Xavier Dionnet having to make a save. François-Xavier Dionnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Romo in the 16th minute of play. François-Xavier Dionnet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saturnino Romo's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Saturnino Romo in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck François-Xavier Dionnet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cirilo Francesco made in the 34th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Tobias Xacintu. Saturnino Romo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over François-Xavier Dionnet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saturnino Romo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Romo in the 35th minute of play forced Ruquense FC's goalkeeper François-Xavier Dionnet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ booed when Ruquense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cirilo Francesco didn't get a good kick on the ball. François-Xavier Dionnet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saturnino Romo's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. François-Xavier Dionnet didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Saturnino Romo went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score.

☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s attentive Mats Liljeström managed to snatch the ball when Cirilo Francesco made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. Saturnino Romo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. François-Xavier Dionnet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Romo in the 54th minute of play. In the 59th minute Maciej Ciemiega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliverio Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Romo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but François-Xavier Dionnet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Saturnino Romo made a precise shot to the right of François-Xavier Dionnet. Ruquense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ made a substitution. Marciano Lope replaced Ezequiel Lavezzi. After 70 minutes of play, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Jerzy Marchefka made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. François-Xavier Dionnet was left in no man's land by his defense there! François-Xavier Dionnet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerzy Marchefka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Oliverio Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting a goal against them. Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Marchefka in the 79th minute of play. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Oliverio Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ from getting a goal against them. 82 minutes into the match, Ruquense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerzy Marchefka came free, but François-Xavier Dionnet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalkeeper Oliverio Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maciej Ciemiega. In the 84thth minute of the game Jerzy Marchefka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruquense FC's François-Xavier Dionnet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Ruquense FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Remigio Quirze hit a great ball. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Marciano Lope got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerzy Marchefka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Jerzy Marchefka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of François-Xavier Dionnet. Ruquense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerzy Marchefka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Ruquense FC's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ had won, even though Ruquense FC had held more of the ball.
