Vikingos FC's Sebastián Sosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saturnino Romo in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Vikingos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Romo came free, but Sebastián Sosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Dedê Donatello with Saturnino Romo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tudor Hurezeanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Romo in the 26th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Sebastián Sosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s Tobias Xacintu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Wilhelm Widberg in the 28 minute of the game. Saturnino Romo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastián Sosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vikingos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tobias Xacintu was slow to take the kick. During this time ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s players had a chance to rest. Oliverio Kahn made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Vladimiro Lauro sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimiro Lauro got free with Oliverio Kahn in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roque Vito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Oliverio Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Jerzy Marchefka received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastián Sosa came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerzy Marchefka slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 66th minute. Vikingos FC made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ladislao Erramu in the 89th minute of play forced ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆'s goalkeeper Oliverio Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Vikingos FC's Wilhelm Widberg got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Jerzy Marchefka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastián Sosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jerzy Marchefka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Jerzy Marchefka had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastián Sosa. Vikingos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerzy Marchefka was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Victor Abaurre took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliverio Kahn. Oliverio Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ☆☆El Gordo Team☆☆ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
