After 6 minutes ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Seçkin Öksüzoğlu who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's corner Robustiano Eron fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cihan Zafer quite easily take care of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Benedicto Bihar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cihan Zafer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Henk Veerman might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Batıkan Muhsin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henk Veerman ran back to his position shaking his head. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Cihan Zafer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seçkin Öksüzoğlu in the 27th minute of play. A throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game was made by Kurtuluş Senih with Robustiano Eron as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Batıkan Muhsin was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Henk Veerman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henk Veerman really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s goal looked a bit too open when Benedicto Bihar came free, but Cihan Zafer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Batıkan Muhsin got control of the ball when Henk Veerman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Batıkan Muhsin was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Henk Veerman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Henk Veerman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Batıkan Muhsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henk Veerman in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute, Henk Veerman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Batıkan Muhsin was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 60th minute, Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Seçkin Öksüzoğlu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. The supporters of ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐► booed when Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedicto Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐►'s Gürkan Gurko was substituted for Güney Özboga. After some careless play in the Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC defense, Henk Veerman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Batıkan Muhsin. The Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Batıkan Muhsin should have stopped the shot. Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC's Aykut Canel was substituted for Benedicto Bihar. Mustafa İzzet Hazer got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Robustiano Eron. Batıkan Muhsin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Veerman went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. In the 91st match minute, ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐► was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corné van Basten to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ◄▌Anatolia Athletic▐► fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tᴜʀᴋᴇʏ Lɪᴏɴꜱ FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
