After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Derman Cruchet managed to get in a good position for a shot. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's supporters rose to their feet, but Derman Cruchet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Krawczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 16 minutes into the match, Goral Zywiec's goalkeeper Michael Krawczyk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wlodzimierz Klucznik. The throw-in from Alberigo Balzani in the 23rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Goral Zywiec's Stefan Lewicki. Fariz Nair's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Basaik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Goral Zywiec's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfred Ewertowski in the 26th minute. After taking down the ball on Goral Zywiec's corner Alfred Ewertowski fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jan Basaik quite easily take care of the ball. Michael Krawczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Derman Cruchet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Krawczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derman Cruchet in the 30th minute of the match. When Fariz Nair came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Goral Zywiec fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fariz Nair couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, Fariz Nair had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jan Basaik. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fariz Nair was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fariz Nair in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Basaik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 42 minutes, Fariz Nair made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Jan Basaik tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Goral Zywiec were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ale Glowacz to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the game, Jaroslaw Garusov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan Basaik. Jaroslaw Garusov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Michael Krawczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ale Glowacz in the 64th minute of the match. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roberto-Carlos Petrović in the 67th minute. Ale Glowacz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michael Krawczyk having to make a save. Goral Zywiec's Michael Krawczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ale Glowacz in the 68th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Goral Zywiec's Alfred Ewertowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Basaik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute of the match Goral Zywiec got a corner. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfred Ewertowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Michael Krawczyk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto-Carlos Petrović, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gao Wei Fei in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Basaik saved KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ from getting behind. 94 minutes into the game, Waldemar Kazczyk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goral Zywiec's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ the free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Goral Zywiec eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
