Niculae Romanescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute of the match AA Bełchatów got a corner. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomasz Motowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Ludomil Frankowski heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind AA Bełchatów's goalkeeper Leonard Rosen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Niculae Romanescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save CWKS KĘDZIERZYN from getting a goal against them. Tomasz Motowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niculae Romanescu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AA Bełchatów's Konrad Klack got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 34th minute Velimir Bostandzhiev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Rosen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonard Rosen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Velimir Bostandzhiev in the 35th minute of the match. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Velimir Bostandzhiev was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Konrad Klack mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AA Bełchatów and the CWKS KĘDZIERZYN players grew even worse after the yellow card.
