The audience was convinced that Donleavy Barrett's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niculae Romanescu was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. 1948 MKS were awarded a corner in the 9th minute after CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brasil McIan took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Brasil McIan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Niculae Romanescu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ireneusz Jeleń, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Ireneusz Jeleń in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Ter Stegen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ireneusz Jeleń showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 20 minute of play. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save 1948 MKS from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Michaël Guillot notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen. After 35 minutes 1948 MKS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kamilo Glik who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Michaël Guillot got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ter Stegen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donleavy Barrett in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niculae Romanescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ireneusz Jeleń received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ter Stegen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of 1948 MKS booed when CWKS KĘDZIERZYN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateusz Klich didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute Ireneusz Jeleń shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beothach Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Marco van Basten came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Robertas Lewandowski in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN's Mateusz Klich got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 played minutes 1948 MKS got a freekick which was hit by Patrick McDonald. Barhan Barrett hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Kamilo Glik took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ter Stegen. 1948 MKS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ter Stegen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robertas Lewandowski went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CWKS KĘDZIERZYN fully deserved thier win.
