The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the match, Marius Niculae had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrea Sabatini. F. C. Clonmels Devils's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marius Niculae was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Andrea Sabatini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marius Niculae's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Dido Kardashev made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Arévalo Miñaca sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marius Niculae in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrea Sabatini saved F. C. Clonmels Devils from getting behind. When Marius Niculae came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the ACe Aimaro Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marius Niculae couldn't finish the play. Iacob Stătescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dido Kardashev made a huge save. Andrea Sabatini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marius Niculae went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Andrea Sabatini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marius Niculae's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by F. C. Clonmels Devils's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jerzy Oliszewski was slow to take the kick. During this time ACe Aimaro Juniors's players had a chance to rest. In the 38th minute, Iacob Stătescu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dido Kardashev. The goal made the score 2-2. Marius Niculae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Sabatini having to interfere. Pontus Strömberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, F. C. Clonmels Devils's Pontus Strömberg got a free kick in the 47th minute. Jerzy Oliszewski struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Andrea Sabatini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ACe Aimaro Juniors. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iacob Stătescu to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Iacob Stătescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dido Kardashev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute, Arévalo Miñaca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Iacob Stătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. ACe Aimaro Juniors's Florentino Dacio was substituted for Marius Niculae. In the 69th minute, Iacob Stătescu made a precise shot to the right of Dido Kardashev. ACe Aimaro Juniors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Florentino Dacio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Sabatini having to make a save. Andrea Sabatini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florentino Dacio in the 75th minute. Andrea Sabatini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feridun Gelenbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Damian Dubiel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F. C. Clonmels Devils and the ACe Aimaro Juniors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Damian Dubiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arévalo Miñaca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Dacio in the 93rd minute of play forced F. C. Clonmels Devils's goalkeeper Andrea Sabatini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. F. C. Clonmels Devils were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ACe Aimaro Juniors for a fine match.
