Andrew Miggiani started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Breckenfeld came free, but Clayton Gerada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Luca Zarb got a free kick in the 10th minute. Iker Borucs short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Clayton Gerada to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Iker Boruc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Vince Galea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Seraċini Għawdxin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vince Galea to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute Paul Montebello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute Robert Seychell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Čech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Iker Boruc ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Clayton Gerada. Clayton Gerada yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Clayton Gerada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niceto Lando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Boruc in the 34th minute of play. Clayton Gerada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iker Boruc in the 44th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iker Boruc made a kick off. Iker Boruc scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clayton Gerada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Matias Čech made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Andrew Miggiani sent off a good shot on target. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Matias Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Trigona in the 59th minute of play. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Boruc, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iker Boruc in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayton Gerada saved Seraċini Għawdxin from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Iker Boruc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Clayton Gerada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70thth minute of the game Iker Boruc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Washington Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s protests and gave Washington Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th minute Iker Boruc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clayton Gerada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th match minute, Seraċini Għawdxin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Zarb to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Paul Montebello could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Matias Čech however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Matias Čech got control of the ball when Paul Montebello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Robert Seychell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Čech having to interfere. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
