With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fausto LaGarde in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Baia saved Brugge United from getting behind. When Guido Vissenaeken came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Brugge United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Vissenaeken couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, Beek City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Rosalio to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Fausto LaGarde kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Vítor Baia. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. The supporters of Brugge United booed when Beek City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vahdet Ulumeriç didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute of the game Telis Lianos made a throw-in which Fausto LaGarde played forward. After 44 played minutes Beek City got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Rosalio.

Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts was substituted for Jaspar Van Den Broeck. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fausto LaGarde made a kick off. In the 55th match minute, Beek City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Telis Lianos to maneuver through the defense. Beek City's Arian Beqaj proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Beek City from getting a goal against them. Arian Beqaj made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 68th minute of play forced Beek City's goalkeeper Arian Beqaj to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Ümit Karan. After 71 minutes, Fausto LaGarde made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Brugge United's Vítor Baia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 78 minutes into the game, Salvador Rosalio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beek City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brugge United the free kick. Salvador Rosalio kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto LaGarde came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 93 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Pietrowicz. Fausto LaGarde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Baia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Beek City's goal looked a bit too open when Goffrey Sas came free, but Arian Beqaj reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, Beek City's Fausto LaGarde made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vítor Baia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Beek City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brugge United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
