Chiquinho Pombal started the match with the kick off. Arlindo Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Chiquinho Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arlindo Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Pombal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Burak Onal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thibault Delanoë in the 28th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Ronaldo Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lütfi Kutlubay having to interfere. If Jimeno Henric had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the game, Jimeno Henric cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Lütfi Kutlubay was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jimeno Henric to make the kick off. Thibault Delanoë's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arlindo Rossi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arlindo Rossi made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Chiquinho Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Thibault Delanoë could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Arlindo Rossi made a huge save. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Arlindo Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burak Onal in the 62nd minute of play. In the 70th minute Burak Onal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arlindo Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute of the match, Chiquinho Pombal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arlindo Rossi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chiquinho Pombal got free with Arlindo Rossi in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s goalkeeper Arlindo Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dito Araújo. If Chiquinho Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lütfi Kutlubay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Henric in the 86th minute of play. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Lütfi Kutlubay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Simão in the 89th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Nestor Batista got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lütfi Kutlubay quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 92 minutes into the match, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goal looked a bit too open when Jimeno Henric came free, but Lütfi Kutlubay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chiquinho Pombal in the 95th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
