The supporters of Chippenham booed when Clapham Comets F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fitz Hubbard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Many of Chippenham's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Chippenham may have spent more time on the ball, but Clapham Comets F.C. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
