The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Carballeira came free, but Jerry Lodge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vlad Ţăranu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jerry Lodge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vlad Ţăranu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Lodge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrico Del Bosque, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Joe Herring left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valencia C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Club Getafe Deportivo were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Valencia C.F.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Orlo Sarrate took the corner. The corner ended in Orlo Sarrate almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge did a great save. Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrico Del Bosque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 52 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vlad Ţăranu came free, but Jerry Lodge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Getafe Deportivo's Curcio Carballeira managed to work through Valencia C.F.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Curcio Carballeira dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Valencia C.F.'s Yuan Wei Han got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Curcio Carballeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Getafe Deportivo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Club Getafe Deportivo's Gau Bergada was substituted for Henrico Del Bosque. Club Getafe Deportivo's Kayra Sağlık was substituted for Laurgain Lama. In the 71st minute Joe Herring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Castellano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gau Bergada came free, but Jerry Lodge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Valencia C.F. defense, Curcio Carballeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerry Lodge. The Valencia C.F. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerry Lodge should have stopped the shot. Jairo Castellano made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Joe Herring sent off a good shot on target. Jerry Lodge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gau Bergada in the 92nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Getafe Deportivo's Xabat Dobale got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Aziz Gustaman hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Club Getafe Deportivo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
