In the 21st minute, Gualterio Estefan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, Curcio Carballeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliz Molina. Castellazo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curcio Carballeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Jairo Castellano was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Gualterio Estefan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gualterio Estefan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 35 minutes into the game, Club Getafe Deportivo's Curcio Carballeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Feliz Molina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Curcio Carballeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Feliz Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curcio Carballeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the match, Castellazo's goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Carballeira came free, but Feliz Molina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Castellazo's Gualterio Estefan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jairo Castellano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Curcio Carballeira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Castellazo's Feliz Molina got control of the ball when Curcio Carballeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Curcio Carballeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Getafe Deportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Curcio Carballeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Castellazo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Wehkamp to maneuver through the defense. Curcio Carballeira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 63rd playminute. Club Getafe Deportivo's Vlad Ţăranu was substituted for Henrico Del Bosque. Club Getafe Deportivo's Víctor Feal was substituted for Laurgain Lama. 75 minutes into the game, Club Getafe Deportivo's Curcio Carballeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Curcio Carballeira in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Feliz Molina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Feliz Molina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curcio Carballeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 97 minutes, Curcio Carballeira made it 2-8 with a short kick to the right side. Castellazo's Feliz Molina tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Castellazo made a substitution. Anibal Clos replaced Blasi Bouzas. The Club Getafe Deportivo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Club Getafe Deportivo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
