Mats Lillegård made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Bemowo's Rolando Chaime. Ong Bongo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Slavcho Kanov having to make a save. Gjermund Viste received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dariusz Bielejewski came out and tried to block the shot, but Gjermund Viste slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orest Bredun in the 26th minute of play forced FC Bemowo's goalkeeper Dariusz Bielejewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Legia Stavanger's Slavcho Kanov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Seco in the 28th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ong Bongo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, FC Bemowo's Slavcho Kanov threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vito Seco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
