In the 18th minute, Harry Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Tinglöf in the 19th minute of play forced Glentown FC's goalkeeper Kent Beckeman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Schmeissen FC's Axel Sandberg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Harry Sandström, made in the 26th minute of the game. Kent Beckeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Målare in the 28th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Glentown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Calle Målare came free, but Kent Beckeman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Glentown FC's Ronaldinho Miguel was substituted for Hasta Alfonso. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Harry Papa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Glentown FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harry Papa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Miromir Gdowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Theodor Tjur in the 86th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Glentown FC's Tom Lindholm. Jarl Gunnarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Gdowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kent Beckeman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urban Kellberg in the 91st minute of play. The Glentown FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Schmeissen FC to win.
