Pentti Ojala started the match with the kick off. Lionel Paly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christo Bothenhain in the 11th minute of play. Tiger's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christo Bothenhain in the 25th minute. Josef Witlatschil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pirmin Jäggi, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christo Bothenhain in the 32nd minute of play. Pentti Ojala's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 39thth minute, Lionel Paly skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Tiger booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Okaner Verim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josef Witlatschil stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pirmin Jäggi's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Philipp Santagapita kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. In the 50th minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Paly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pirmin Jäggi was the one to do the kick off. Iwo Sawicki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pentti Ojala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes FC Wil 1900 got a freekick which was hit by Georges Gladu. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. İlkan Mahşer hit a great ball. FC Wil 1900's Sobah Rico was substituted for İlkan Mahşer. FC Wil 1900's Alex Leisibach was substituted for Tory Pryor. 69 minutes into the match, FC Wil 1900's goal looked a bit too open when Pentti Ojala came free, but Lionel Paly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Pentti Ojala had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lionel Paly. FC Wil 1900's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pentti Ojala was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. A collision led to FC Wil 1900 getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Alex Leisibach hit a great ball. Okaner Verim kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After 88 played minutes, Tiger's Christo Bothenhain shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lionel Paly came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tiger reached it. When Pirmin Jäggi fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Wil 1900's protests and gave Pirmin Jäggi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tiger booed when FC Wil 1900 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pirmin Jäggi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marten Weise's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georges Gladu got free with Josef Witlatschil in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tiger had won after a very even match.
