Chelsicha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Diamond Football Club the free kick. The supporters of Diamond Football Club booed when Chelsicha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedê Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Pombal in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Borges in the 21st minute of play forced Chelsicha's goalkeeper Diogo Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Alexandre Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertinho Borges's late challenge caught a Chelsicha's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Carlos Melo to strike the kick off in the second half. Nico Corrêa scored 0-3 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diogo Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Diogo Velloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Diogo Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albertinho Borges went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Chelsicha defense, Alexandre Soeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogo Velloso. The Chelsicha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Velloso should have stopped the shot. After 72 played minutes Diamond Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Soeiro. In the 73rd minute, Nico Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Chelsicha's goal looked a bit too open when Nico Corrêa came free, but Diogo Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamond Football Club's Cléberson Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Valadares in the 78th minute of play. Diogo Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Chelsicha's Vágner Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexandre Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertinho Borges came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Diogo Velloso could save by the left post. In the 93rd match minute, Chelsicha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Diamond Football Club played a much better game than Chelsicha and deserved their victory. The Chelsicha players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
