Edinho Alcântara was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 22 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund MZB's Edinho Alcântara got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Borussia Dortmund MZB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfons Arvidsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kepa Arrizabalaga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfons Arvidsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Frode Fossan charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frode Fossan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Daustad getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Frode Fossan hit a great ball. Idar Istad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Arvidsson in the 93rd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
