After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Donleavy Barrett got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 7th minute, Gilbert Jameson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Umbruso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ter Stegen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nistor Sârban went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Beothach Brennan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Konstanty Wawro. That made the score 1-1 in the 20 minute of play. Ter Stegen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nistor Sârban in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute Donleavy Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Sârban in the 29th minute of play forced 1948 MKS's goalkeeper Ter Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Sârban in the 30th minute of play. After some careless play in the 1948 MKS defense, Nistor Sârban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ter Stegen. The 1948 MKS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ter Stegen should have stopped the shot. Rega Merida CF's Abdulhamit Beycan got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nistor Sârban blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ter Stegen having to make a save. 38 minutes into the match, 1948 MKS's goal looked a bit too open when Nistor Sârban came free, but Ter Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Konstanty Wawro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beothach Brennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Nistor Sârban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ter Stegen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Tiomoid Doherty charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiomoid Doherty the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Tiomoid Doherty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nistor Sârban to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in 1948 MKS's zone, Abdulhamit Beycan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ter Stegen came out of the goal and Abdulhamit Beycan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nistor Sârban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ter Stegen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nistor Sârban, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 58th minute, one of 1948 MKS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for 1948 MKS. Ter Stegen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nistor Sârban went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. If Nistor Sârban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Sârban in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the 1948 MKS defense, Nistor Sârban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ter Stegen. The 1948 MKS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ter Stegen should have stopped the shot. Rega Merida CF made a substitution. Konrad Knopek replaced Nistor Sârban. 1948 MKS's Tiomoid Doherty got his second yellow card of the match in the 79th minute. The referee ordered Tiomoid Doherty off the ground. Tiomoid Doherty kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Konrad Knopek struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Ter Stegen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rega Merida CF. In the 85th minute Beothach Brennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Konstanty Wawro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ter Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Konrad Knopek in the 86th minute of play. After 88 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for 1948 MKS! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Rega Merida CF. Konrad Knopek stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ter Stegen. 1-5. 95 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's Konrad Knopek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ter Stegen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 99 played minutes Rega Merida CF got a freekick which was hit by Bartosz Loncki. When the final whistle sounded Rega Merida CF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 1948 MKS.
