Ter Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Augusto Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, José Augusto Rosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MS Rybnik and the 1948 MKS players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Augusto Rosa hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 1948 MKS's Bola Taylor got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, José Augusto Rosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MS Rybnik's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Augusto Rosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beothach Brennan in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Izydor Wolnik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of MS Rybnik booed when 1948 MKS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Augusto Rosa couldn't finish the play. 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Rosa in the 62nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Augusto Rosa got free with Ter Stegen in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
