Olympique Gdynia's supporters rose to their feet, but Şota Arveladze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Tomaszewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th minute, Czeslaw Domeracki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Olympique Gdynia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jan Tomaszewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Czeslaw Domeracki, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ganga Banga in the 19th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Czeslaw Domeracki who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tanek Ostrowski made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ganga Banga sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tanek Ostrowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leszek Falke in the 26th minute. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Falke in the 27th minute of play. Zielonka Gdansk's Jan Tomaszewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Şota Arveladze in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Ganga Banga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zielonka Gdansk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ganga Banga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Czeslaw Domeracki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ganga Banga kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tanek Ostrowski. That made the score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Domeracki in the 42nd minute of play forced Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leszek Falke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Jan Tomaszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 61st minute of play. When Olympique Gdynia's Phạm Nguyet in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zielonka Gdansk's goalie prevented a goal. 67 minutes into the match, Zielonka Gdansk's goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miroslaw Majorski. In the 68th minute Olympique Gdynia were awarded a corner. Fabio-Roman Zabaleta went to the cornerflag to take it. Şota Arveladze came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan Tomaszewski could save by the left post. Tanek Ostrowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ganga Banga in the 78th minute of the match. Jan Tomaszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Czeslaw Domeracki went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Czeslaw Domeracki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Tomaszewski was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ganga Banga in the 85th minute of play. When Şota Arveladze came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Olympique Gdynia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Şota Arveladze couldn't finish the play. Ganga Banga hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Jan Tomaszewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Olympique Gdynia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
