Amuruza Lillo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Raymond in the 13th minute of the match. Mané Balcells struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Fernando Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Junta De Los Rios CF. Despidida AFC's Gabriel Silban managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Marcos Valdivia in the 16 minute of the game. Alvaro Raymond might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amuruza Lillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Raymond ran back to his position shaking his head. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 26th minute of play forced Junta De Los Rios CF's goalkeeper Amuruza Lillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Despidida AFC were awarded a corner. Emanuel Lucila went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amarante Gibert got free with Fernando Selatse in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despidida AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Emanuel Lucila in the 31st minute. Alvaro Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amuruza Lillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 34 played minutes Junta De Los Rios CF got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Valdivia. After 35 minutes of play, Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amuruza Lillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Junta De Los Rios CF's goalkeeper Amuruza Lillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Junta De Los Rios CF defense, Alvaro Raymond kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amuruza Lillo. The Junta De Los Rios CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amuruza Lillo should have stopped the shot. After 49 played minutes Junta De Los Rios CF got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Valdivia. After the first half Despidida AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amarante Gibert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kees Harmsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amuruza Lillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kees Harmsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu was substituted for Ancho Branca. Amuruza Lillo came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco. But to his dismay, Emiliano Velasco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 67 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Amarante Gibert came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Velasco got free with Amuruza Lillo in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 72nd minute Dinu Ivănescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amuruza Lillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Dinu Ivănescu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Amuruza Lillo made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Emiliano Velasco sent off a good shot on target. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celestino Marques in the 78th minute of play. Emiliano Velasco in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amuruza Lillo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mané Balcells in the 82 minute of the game. Amuruza Lillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emiliano Velasco's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Amuruza Lillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinu Ivănescu in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Pastor Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Amarante Gibert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Selatse was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amarante Gibert in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Despidida AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
