Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brugge United's Vítor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. Ümit Karan hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Vítor Baia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 7th minute. Aureliano Buendia took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Baia. Vítor Baia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Lucas Huidobro made in the 17th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Enrique Cassaretto immediately put the ball in play. 23 minutes into the game, Enrique Cassaretto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vítor Baia. Enrique Cassaretto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. CD Municipal's George Forsyth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Goffrey Sas in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, CD Municipal's Enrique Cassaretto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vítor Baia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Guido Vissenaeken came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Brugge United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Vissenaeken couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute Enrique Cassaretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goalkeeper Vítor Baia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Cassaretto. In the 46thth minute of the game Goffrey Sas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Municipal's George Forsyth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Brugge United made a substitution. Arnauld Van Impe replaced Guido Vissenaeken. Vítor Baia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Cassaretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. George Forsyth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Goffrey Sas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 63rd minute of play. After 66 played minutes Brugge United got a freekick which was hit by Ümit Karan. CD Municipal made a substitution. Tulio Andinyach replaced Evtim Kúrdzhev. CD Municipal made a substitution. The throw-in from Lucas Huidobro in the 80th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Brugge United's Laurențiu Roşculeţ. With a little luck, CD Municipal's George Forsyth got control of the ball when Arnauld Van Impe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Enrique Cassaretto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vítor Baia was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Enrique Cassaretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Baia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Vítor Baia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cassaretto in the 92nd minute of play. Brugge United's Vítor Baia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Cassaretto in the 94th minute of play. Aureliano Buendia's late challenge caught a Brugge United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aureliano Buendia helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to CD Municipal getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Aureliano Buendia hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. CD Municipal had won after a very even match.
