After 4 minutes, Mazinho Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queluzito and the -BZF- Petrolul Berca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mazinho Lara hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Paulo José Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurel Mustea, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Nistor Arjoca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Cabral in the 8th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the game, Queluzito's Nando Lima nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nistor Arjoca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute, -BZF- Petrolul Berca's Andrei Marioara dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Queluzito's goalkeeper Paulo José Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrei Marioara. -BZF- Petrolul Berca were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Queluzito's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andrei Marioara took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Queluzito's goalie and right to Emilian Ciprian. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Queluzito's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 22 minutes into the game, Queluzito's Percy Cabral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nistor Arjoca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aírton de Amaral went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Nistor Arjoca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Nando Lima took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Nistor Arjoca to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of -BZF- Petrolul Berca booed when Queluzito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Queluzito's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Marioara came free, but Paulo José Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emilian Ciprian came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the -BZF- Petrolul Berca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilian Ciprian couldn't finish the play. Vasile Barbonța received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Paulo José Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aírton de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emilian Ciprian charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilian Ciprian the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Emilian Ciprian hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.

The Queluzito supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Queluzito would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
