Martyn Patten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cafu Alagoano in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bibby came free, but Matheus Donelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Martyn Patten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ángel Romero in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, MAZER SAF's Matheus Donelli got control of the ball when Danny Ross tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute Ángel Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martyn Patten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, MAZER SAF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Danny Ross fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. André Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Keith Featherstone kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordan Griffiths in the 31st minute of play forced MAZER SAF's goalkeeper Matheus Donelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manchester United F.C.'s Martyn Patten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ángel Romero in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Medeiros in the 36th minute of play forced Manchester United F.C.'s goalkeeper Martyn Patten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes of play, MAZER SAF's Ángel Romero made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Martyn Patten was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 40th match minute, MAZER SAF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Amaral to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Almir Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Dennis Bibby got a free kick in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the game, Bill Black was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MAZER SAF the free kick. Bill Black hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danny Ross to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cafu Alagoano in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martyn Patten saved Manchester United F.C. from getting behind. Martyn Patten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cafu Alagoano, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. After 70 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Alagoano. Manchester United F.C.'s Don Beckett was substituted for Eddy Deveraux. MAZER SAF's João Carlos Fantini was substituted for Paulo Renato Gonçalves. Manchester United F.C.'s Dennis Chegwyn was substituted for Andy Horn. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Cafu Alagoano hit a great ball. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when MAZER SAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ángel Romero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martyn Patten. Manchester United F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. MAZER SAF's Ángel Romero got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 83 played minutes Manchester United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Chegwyn. Ángel Romero scored 1-2 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martyn Patten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
