The audience was convinced that Edmund Schoettle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dražen Ladić was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Hartmut Weidenhammer's late challenge caught a Spams's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hartmut Weidenhammer helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Hartmut Weidenhammer got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of Spams booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Gebauer didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tiger's Detmar Stuchtey got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 18 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Fulko Schwaderer. Kristian Willem Neuling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ante Rebić in the 21st minute of the match. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Ante Rebić sped through Tiger's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristian Willem Neuling. Kristian Willem Neuling stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ante Rebić's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Spams were awarded a corner. Domingos Beila went to the cornerflag to take it. Dražen Ladić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Schoettle in the 30th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Ante Rebić left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Spams fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kristian Willem Neuling showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Beila, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Cecilio Telesforo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Kristian Willem Neuling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristian Willem Neuling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ante Rebić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Tiger's Kristian Willem Neuling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Tiger from getting a goal against them. Kristian Willem Neuling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ante Rebić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Igor Tudor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spams's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiger the free kick. David Garefrekes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Humberto Cutberto fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spams's protests and gave Humberto Cutberto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, Humberto Cutberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fulko Schwaderer kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Tiger's Ken Raus was substituted for Fulko Schwaderer. Fulko Schwaderer hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Detmar Stuchtey. With a little luck, Tiger's Kristian Willem Neuling got control of the ball when Domingos Beila tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tiger's zone, Alvaro Tino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristian Willem Neuling came out of the goal and Alvaro Tino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Schoettle in the 79th minute of play forced Spams's goalkeeper Dražen Ladić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmund Schoettle scored 1-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dražen Ladić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Cecilio Telesforo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spams's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Telesforo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Willem Neuling breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Spams's Ante Rebić got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Edmund Schoettle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Spams had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
