An unexpectedly hard shot by Li Sha Yuan in the 6th minute of play forced Formentera's goalkeeper Seyhan Atlıhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seyhan Atlıhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lorenzo Lluterio in the 9th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Ariel Libertad got a free kick in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Marz Caracedo came free, but Seyhan Atlıhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Li Sha Yuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornelio Merexildo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Benvide's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Wilfredo Benvide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cornelio Merexildo having to make a save. Cornelio Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfredo Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores del Albinegro's goalkeeper Cornelio Merexildo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th minute, Formentera's Hernan Chus seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hernan Chus the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Formentera protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hernan Chus had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Formentera's Joaquin Vela was substituted for Geronimo Silviano. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Formentera:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Defensores del Albinegro:s goal. Seyhan Atlıhan had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Marz Caracedo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 33rd minute 龙建烨 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saturnino Diagur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Seyhan Atlıhan made a huge save. The supporters of Formentera booed when Defensores del Albinegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gecel Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Wilfredo Benvide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelio Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Maximo Aritza was the one to do the kick off. Li Sha Yuan hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Justino Hondo during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Formentera's Justino Hondo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Seyhan Atlıhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximo Aritza in the 66th minute of play. A very good chance. In the 82nd match minute, Defensores del Albinegro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Tonete to maneuver through the defense.
