Marcos Berdoi ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Club Atlético Atlanta's Anselmo Nevada to fire away a dangerous shot which Cyril Duclaux despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cyril Duclaux made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Jaizki in the 43rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Eustaquio Jaizki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cyril Duclaux was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. Cyril Duclaux stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eustaquio Jaizki's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Cyril Duclaux didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paolo Caradaro went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Cyril Duclaux was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Eustaquio Jaizki capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eustaquio Jaizki really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9.
