The crowd rose to their feet as Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jens-Ove Malm slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nestor Cortez. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. 25 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Malm came free, but Nestor Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nestor Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Malm in the 34th minute of the match. If Marcos Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stoyadin Gulev to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Jens-Ove Malm made a precise shot to the right of Nestor Cortez. Lobos de Carelia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Jens-Ove Malm made the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Lobos de Carelia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ:s goal. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for Rio Verde F.C CIMZ. Marcos Siqueira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nestor Cortez. 4-0. Jens-Ove Malm's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nestor Cortez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Lia in the 61st minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Rio Verde F.C CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Mitchel Bakker. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Tolgahan Onatkan was substituted for Marcos Siqueira. In the 76th minute, Mitchel Bakker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Malm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute Pavao Zadro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Birol Celilay got a free kick in the 98th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lobos de Carelia had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
