The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute Ramon Burni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Walme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oktay Eğriöz in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Lei Feng Yan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mira Pene was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mira Pene made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Breno Vergílio in the 17th minute of play. Aurelio Walme came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Paso FC's Oktay Eğriöz. But to his dismay, Oktay Eğriöz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Mira Pene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 28th minute of play forced Paso FC's goalkeeper Mira Pene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Haroldo Ayala hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mira Pene showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Vergílio in the 30th minute of the match. Aurelio Walme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Lucero, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oktay Eğriöz was slow to take the kick. During this time Paso FC's players had a chance to rest. Pete Violento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Aurelio Walme made a huge save. 70 minutes into the match, Paso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Vergílio came free, but Mira Pene reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Oktay Eğriöz notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme. Aurelio Walme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomas Lucero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Aurelio Walme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Mira Pene was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Paso FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
