The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Denílson Magalhães hit a great ball. Marcus Ekrot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deilmison van Basten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Hermansson came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Ekrot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Deilmison van Basten got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Vykans Vikingar's zone, Deilmison van Basten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Ekrot came out of the goal and Deilmison van Basten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Mutumba came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Unax Mudarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A nice corner shot did that Unax Mudarra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcus Ekrot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Unax Mudarra made a great header on ATHLETICO PRaiano's corner, it was just that Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot managed to reach the ball for a save. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten managed to work through Vykans Vikingar's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Deilmison van Basten dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 34 minutes into the match, Denílson Magalhães had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Denílson Magalhães was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Deilmison van Basten made a precise shot to the right of Marcus Ekrot. Vykans Vikingar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonardo Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Vykans Vikingar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jose Indalecio in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Martin Mutumba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vykans Vikingar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jose Indalecio in the 49th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonardo Trancoso to make the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Gu Zhan Cheng shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcus Ekrot showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Deilmison van Basten hit a great ball. Vykans Vikingar's Abdi Revis was substituted for Hugo Eden. After 59 played minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano got a freekick which was hit by Deilmison van Basten. Marcus Ekrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Mutumba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rodriguinho Sousa having to make a save. With a little luck, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa got control of the ball when Martin Mutumba tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 66th minute, Deilmison van Basten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ATHLETICO PRaiano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. ATHLETICO PRaiano made a substitution. With an all-out effort, Vykans Vikingar's Rodriguinho Sousa threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abdi Revis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vykans Vikingar fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! In the 96th minute there was a penalty for ATHLETICO PRaiano. Deilmison van Basten stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcus Ekrot. 6-0.
