The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim de Barros in the 4th minute of play. Armindo Salgado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ove Malm in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ove Malm in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Salgado saved VB-Team from getting behind. Armindo Salgado made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Jens-Ove Malm sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the match, Joaquim de Barros notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix. Amauri Félix was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amauri Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the VB-Team defense, Jens-Ove Malm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Armindo Salgado. The VB-Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Salgado should have stopped the shot. Jens-Ove Malm struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Armindo Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Verde F.C CIMZ. Joaquim de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Amauri Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armindo Salgado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Malm in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Gervásio Severiano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amauri Félix was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 28th minute of the match, Marcos Siqueira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Armindo Salgado was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Luís Caeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amauri Félix having to make a save. Jens-Ove Malm took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Salgado. Armindo Salgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Gervásio Severiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Jens-Ove Malm notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of VB-Team's Armindo Salgado. Armindo Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Gervásio Severiano got free with Amauri Félix in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 55 minutes VB-Team's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcos Siqueira who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of VB-Team's goalie and right to Di Yang Feng. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. VB-Team's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Armindo Salgado came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Jens-Ove Malm. But to his dismay, Jens-Ove Malm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Joaquim de Barros put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Amauri Félix. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Rio Verde F.C CIMZ from getting a goal against them. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Amauri Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 77th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Jens-Ove Malm notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of VB-Team's Armindo Salgado. Armindo Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. VB-Team made a substitution. Qiu Sheng Bang replaced Sandro Leitão. VB-Team's Traian Hăvârneanu was substituted for Joaquim de Barros. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 86th minute of play forced Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goalkeeper Amauri Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, VB-Team's Luís Caeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amauri Félix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Luís Caeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amauri Félix was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-3. Israel Vidal hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Many of VB-Team's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. VB-Team may have spent more time on the ball, but Rio Verde F.C CIMZ were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
