With a left leg Alberto Palmeira saved Bandelocos from getting behind. Caio Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Palmeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, one of Bandelocos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alberto Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Eliézer Ramos hit a great ball. Manoel Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lauro Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Palmeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glauco Paranaense went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 22 minutes into the game, Manoel Loureiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandelocos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Manoel Loureiro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Alberto Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 25th minute of the match. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Caio Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time CE LAJEADENSE RS's players had a chance to rest. Alberto Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Alberto Palmeira came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Eliézer Ramos. But to his dismay, Eliézer Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. Alberto Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense in the 42nd minute of play. If Eliézer Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After recieving a nice pass, Bandelocos's José Paulo Severo tried to score from far away in the 48th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juca Bala made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Bandelocos got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Cabral. Alberto Palmeira made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Glauco Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. After 57 minutes, Luís Gustavo Teles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CE LAJEADENSE RS and the Bandelocos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís de Lara got free with Alberto Palmeira in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chicão Dionísio during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Chicão Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Palmeira came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense. But to his dismay, Glauco Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Bandelocos's Alberto Palmeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Bandelocos from getting a goal against them. Alberto Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 69th minute of play. Chicão Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glauco Paranaense to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Bandelocos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chicão Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Tadeu Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bandelocos's goalkeeper Alberto Palmeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CE LAJEADENSE RS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
