A collision led to Compugraf getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Wilton Camargo hit a great ball. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Domingues in the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Compugraf booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Compugraf's Kléberson Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lauro Linhares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enio Fonseca in the 15th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Domingues came free, but Lauro Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enio Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute of the match, Glauco Paranaense got a very nice opportunity to score, but Chico Fernandez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lauro Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enio Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Compugraf's Júlio Neves got a free kick in the 39th minute. After the first half Compugraf were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Glauco Paranaense made a kick off. Chico Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense in the 57th minute of play. Glauco Paranaense charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Glauco Paranaense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Glauco Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Compugraf made a substitution. João Carlos Bezerra replaced Enio Fonseca. The supporters of Compugraf booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Márcio Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Márcio Domingues might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lauro Linhares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Márcio Domingues ran back to his position shaking his head. Lauro Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márcio Domingues in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís de Lara in the 73rd minute of play forced Compugraf's goalkeeper Chico Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Gustavo Teles hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Lauro Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilton Camargo. Chico Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Glauco Paranaense in the 80th minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Glauco Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chico Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Chico Fernandez came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense. But to his dismay, Glauco Paranaense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The Compugraf players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented CE LAJEADENSE RS from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
