Carlos Sá struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. João Pedro Donato didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Engenheiros da Vila. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, Ademir Amorim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Edgar Novaes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Atlético São Sebastião supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlético São Sebastião would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
