Ronaldão Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Donato having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson da Cunha in the 7th minute of play forced Atlético São Sebastião's goalkeeper João Pedro Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Marcus Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Custódio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Paiva in the 20th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Hortêncio Custódio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Elano Pernambucano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hortêncio Custódio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Novaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnaldo Cerezo took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Pedro Donato. João Pedro Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Luiz Gustavo Trigo fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BEST FABIO F.C.'s protests and gave Luiz Gustavo Trigo a yellow card for diving instead. Luiz Gustavo Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Novaes came free, but Hortêncio Custódio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Pedro Donato came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by BEST FABIO F.C.'s Elano Pernambucano. But to his dismay, Elano Pernambucano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético São Sebastião's Cauã Galvão got a free kick in the 37th minute. Hortêncio Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Paiva in the 40th minute of the match. Hortêncio Custódio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anísio Paiva in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 55 minutes, Laerte Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BEST FABIO F.C. and the Atlético São Sebastião players grew even worse after the yellow card. Laerte Godoi hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Luís Capixaba during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Pedro Donato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Edgar Novaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atlético São Sebastião's João Pedro Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Salgado in the 76th minute of play. João Pedro Donato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elano Pernambucano in the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Atlético São Sebastião's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Gustavo Trigo came free, but João Pedro Donato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Anísio Paiva came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Atlético São Sebastião fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio Paiva couldn't finish the play. In the 91st minute, Vânderson da Cunha made a precise shot to the right of João Pedro Donato. Atlético São Sebastião's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0.
