Nestor Penha started the match with the kick off. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Penha in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Raimundo Gonçalves notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Noia's Hermínio Barros. Hermínio Barros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lauro Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Noia booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genílson Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Caio Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the CE LAJEADENSE RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Ramos couldn't finish the play. Lauro Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guilherme Vasconcelos in the 26th minute. Hermínio Barros came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís de Lara. But to his dismay, Luís de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luís de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Hermínio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Noia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Almir Alves to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Noia's Lauro Linhares threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nestor Penha, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adilson Montenegro during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Adilson Montenegro got a free kick in the 38th minute. Hermínio Barros didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CE LAJEADENSE RS's Eliézer Ramos shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Nestor Penha received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lauro Linhares came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Penha slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raimundo Gonçalves made a kick off. Hermínio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís de Lara in the 53rd minute of play. Raimundo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermínio Barros having to interfere. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Noia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Caio Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time CE LAJEADENSE RS's players had a chance to rest. The corner led CE LAJEADENSE RS's Caio Ramos to fire away a dangerous shot which Hermínio Barros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Raimundo Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Hermínio Barros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 67th minute, Dário Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Eger scored 2-3 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lauro Linhares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lauro Linhares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Vasconcelos in the 73rd minute of the match. Hermínio Barros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raimundo Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Josué Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Gonçalves in the 82nd minute of play forced Noia's goalkeeper Hermínio Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Gonçalves in the 84th minute. Gabriel Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CE LAJEADENSE RS! Lauro Linhares had in the 92ndth minute some difficulties stopping Luciano Fontes's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir Alves in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Guilherme Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Linhares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Noia had been in control for most of the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS still came away with the win.
